Empower Through Education

invest in talent to reach their full potential through education

India has seen good progress in many ways and is on its way to becoming the global leader in many aspects in the 21st century. That can be accelerated by making all genders inclusive in progress. However, we need further shift in our mindset around some fundamental areas like girl’s health and education. We need to break the traditional norms around girl’s freedom, especially in underprivileged and underserved communities. Through the right means, women have proven to break the glass ceiling in almost every field. With their intellect, grit and perseverance, women have been able to uplift their families out of generational poverty and bring transformative progress in their communities around the world.
“Tati Indira Memorial Educational Society” (NGO Darpan ID: AP/2020/0258669, Trust Deed , 12A , 80G is a medium to invest ) in talent with limited means, provide them mentorship and scholarship to help them reach their full potential. Our goal is to propel them towards a brighter future – financial independence, equal opportunities, progressive thought process, and courage to compete on the global stage. We want them to lead and provide helping hand in identifying and nurturing the future talent.

What We Do

Supporting Girls Through College

The mind is the most powerful tool in the world. However in low income communities, people, especially girls, are encouraged to step away from their educational journey to support the family. Money should never meddle in a talented child’s journey for better education, but so is the case in many households. Through our foundation, we would like to unleash the potential of thousands of girls by providing opportunities for underprivileged and underserved communities. While we may support one girl in a family, so many other lives are impacted, and so many people rise from the poverty they we born into.

Mentoring Underprivileged Children

Guidance is the missing puzzle piece for many children living in the poorer parts of a city or town. These kids don’t have positive role models, and our wish is to be in their lives as just that. We want them to make decisions that can positively impact their education and future.

During COVID, we began the Clean & Green initiative which provided basic needs to these families in the hopes that they wouldn’t halt their childrens’ educations. We worked to built working bathrooms around the city so they would be able to thrive in cleaner environments.

I am very thankful to the trustees, board members and advisors of the Tati Indira Memorial Trust, for helping me stand on my feet and being a pillar of strength for my family. I come from Daivalaravuru, a small village in Prakasam Dt, Andhra Pradesh. My father owned a small grocery store in the village, I completed my schooling in the local government school. Through local folks, my father heard of TIMES trust and approached them to aid with advancing my education. Given my educational credentials, the trust took me under their wing. They funded college tuition and other associated fees. With their sponsorship, I have now graduated from RISE Krishna Sai Group of Institutions, Ongole and secured a position in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). My journey from government school to a job in a reputable global company, is a testament to the enormous difference educational support can make. Thank you, TIMES, for your monumental support along this journey, and continuing to nurture my future. I am now in a position to extend the same support to my siblings, especially with my father’s demise during the pandemic. I would like to join the exemplary cause and contribute in any way I can.

My name is Hyndavi. I hail from a small village, named Aminabad in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. When I was 13 years old, I lost both my parents unexpectedly. With the support of my grandparents, I continued my studies up to 12th class. Being from a lower middle class farming background and their old age, my grandparents could not afford to send me for higher education. I was very much interested in pursuing my further studies. That’s when I heard about this trust and their commitment for education. Seeing my enthusiasm and interest, the trustees gave me an opportunity and support through graduation financially and morally. Thanks to their unconditional and non-binding support, I was able to pursue my B. Tech at KITS Engineering College in Guntur. I will be finishing my last semester and graduating in June 2021. I have also been selected to work at Multinational Company through on-campus recruitment.
I am very thankful to Tati Indira Memorial Educational Society trust for financial support and their collaboration/contribution to complete my Engineering. As I reflect back, I realize there are so many helping hands for those in need. I want to be able to make a great future for myself and if possible, pay it forward to others in need, through this trust or on my own.

Tulasi wrote in her letter to Padala Charitable Trust that, her father felt very sad for not being able to buy a laptop for his children’s studies. The family, although very keen on educating its children, is not able to provide for all their needs. Tati Indira Memorial Trust was informed by PCT and choose Laxmi to support her and Sumanth’s education.
